A 33-year-old Nova Scotia man has pleaded guilty to a child pornography charge. Police charged Joseph Harris Simpson of Mulgrave with possession of child pornography after the RCMP searched a home in the community in June 2009. Simpson had elected trial by jury before the Nova Scotia Supreme Court. His trial was set for October, but he entered a guilty plea during a pre-trial conference in a Port Hawkesbury courtroom. A sentencing hearing is scheduled for Oct. 6.
